A Very Fine George II Silver Salver London 1743 by John Robinson George Hindmarshenquire A Very Fine George II Silver Salver of circular form with shaped shell and acanthus leaf border. The central plate decorated with a band of shell formed and foliate arabesques about the central armorial of two crowned lions issuing from a crown within a shaped floral and foliate cartouche. The whole standing on four scroll and leaf decorated feet. Marked to the reverse for London 1743 by John Robinson. This is an exceptionally fine early

and it is still being produced today

The main column unscrews from the top part and each of the three hippocampi can be removed by undoing a small nut to the underside
